Great Book:  Uncle Dan's Report Card (Amazon)

This is a FABULOUS book by Barbara C. and Bob Unell. It's an inexpensive ($10+S/H on Amazon) quick-read paperback about how to help today's children learn to build the life skills and strength of character they taught to kids 100 years ago - that kids certainly are NOT learning in most of today's schools and many homes. The authors parallel the important elements of Uncle Dan's report card from 1914 - with how parents everywhere can (and should) do a better job of preparing kids for growing up to be proud and productive members of American society. Simply awesome. Buy it, read it - and then be sure to pass it on.
